山車が町内を練り歩く季節だ。

It is the season when floats are paraded through the town.
大人になってから山車や子ども神輿を見ると、こんなに小さかったのかとしみじみする。
When I look at the floats and children’s portable shrines as an adult, I am struck by how small they were.
