とーちゃんが釣から帰ってきた。大量に釣れたので御満悦だった。船には酔わなかったようだが、自分に酔っていた。

My father came back from fishing. He was very happy because he caught a lot of fish. He did not seem to get drunk on the boat, but he was drunk on himself.
それ以降父から釣りの話を聞いたことはないので、ハマらなかったようだ。
I never heard him talk about fishing after that, so I guess my father never got into it.
